Hi, My Name is Timmy

“Hi, my name is Timmy. I’m 37 yrs old , 7ft tall ,and weigh over two hundred pounds. I’m a future hall of fame inductee and I have helped my team to 4 NBA titles so far in my career. I’m not the highest paid player on my team, and Pop says I “shouldn’t worry about the money and focus on being a good boy”. My wife is leaving me and probably taking most of my money with her. But Pop says “give her whatever she wants and don’t make her out to be a gold digger in the media.” Oh and “be a good boy”.
I try my best to please Poppa. Tony does too, but sometimes I think that…(need to catch my breath)…sometimes I think that Pop is a big bully! He scares me!!! I’m doing my best to make him happy. Hopefully we beat those Big thugs(lol ,I mean three) and Pop will take me camping this summer After this divorce I will probably need a tent anyway. Hehe.- Goodnight diary.”

    Gotcha. Yup, yup.

  2. @ Cree

    I hear you

(actually, I meant a slap in the face AKA a slap back to reality,

that these black male athletes that the media holds up as “role models” for black youth

are really held in contempt by white people, especially their “owners’

and I mean “owners” — literally

like the book, “Forty Million Dollar Slaves”

  3. CREE-EIGHT Says:

Definitely tongue in cheek, Pam. I haven’t slapped enough white folks yet to get at any black people.

  4. @ Cree

tongue in cheek or a slap in the face?

actually, you nailed the way I think these white owners/managers see black male pro basketball players and BM athletes in general

little boys who make them a lot of money

  5. CREE-EIGHT Says:

Yeah, KP, Duncan’s REALLY good at what he does. It takes a lot of talent and dedication to be that non-threatening.

I really wish I could’ve listened to your show yesterday with Mr Silva. Unfortunately I was on the “plantation” so it would’ve been a little difficult to call in. But I will definetly download it. I’m sure it was a great discussion.

OMG!! That is over the top hilarious! You know you’re wrong for this Cree!lol
Yeah the Spurs pulled out a win today but the next two games are in Miami. So a game seven is still possible. Besides I think that’s what the NBA(and ABC) both want. The more games that are played means more..$$$$!!
This Timmy post reminds me why I never liked Tim Duncan. I could easily say he seems kind of corny and lacks a little “swagger”. Or talk about the fact that he married and reproduced with a “melanin recessive” female. He definitely loses points for all of those things. But the one thing that always bugged me was he never seemed to have a backbone. I respect his athletic ability. He’s won championships so you have to give him credit for that. But he always seemed kind of wimpish to me. Michael Jordan,Charles Barkley and Kobe Bryant all had their faults(selfish, arrogant, non black wives). But they at least had a killer instinct on the basketball court. They really wanted to win– you could sense it. I don’t get that vibe from Timmy.
Thanks for this post. I needed a good laugh. Besides we don’t always have to be super serious all the time. Who says counter-racists can’t have a sense of humor?lol
